Let's suppose God called this Company Business meeting
at 9:00am on Sunday morning and His Agenda was simply:-
- He wants to say something LIFE changing to His Church of which He is The Owner,
Chairman, and M.D.
- He has urgent business to discuss concerning our future as well as that of the Company,
His Church.
- He wants to meet with us so that He can impart His Vision and Mission, that we stay
on track, in fellowship.
- He wants to equip us so we can do the work and cope with the challenges in the
market place ... Problems!
Next Scenario:-
Stop awhile and think what is it that you as a Parent desire for your children as
you send them off to school?
INFORMATION: That they will be trained to know more of what
they see and hear, i.e. Knowledge.
INSPIRATION: That they will enjoy the learning experience in
a way that enriches their lives, i.e. Wisdom.
IMPARTATION: That they theoretically grasp the details so
that they can IMPLEMENT what they understand.
INVITATION: or application so they take the classroom into their world
and live their Sums in the market place.
Church Life:-
Great experiences with God and great meetings in Church have these 4 elements interwoven
in the fabric.
What will God say to encourage or show us? INFORMATION.
How will we be enriched to excel in His Kingdom? INSPIRATION.
How will He empower us to fulfill His Commission? IMPARTATION.
What will He expect us to do, once He has Equipped us? INVITATION or application.
See Jeremiah waking up one morning excited about his name: "I'm the one whom Yahweh has Appointed".
What will He say to me today, O.K. I'm going to go
and visit the Potter. An urgency has gripped my spirit and that is how I know it
is God and I know He has something to say to me. A meeting with God happens the
moment we respond to the soft gentle voice of The Holy Spirit. (Isa 30:21)
You and I will learn more from our experiences, discussions and interactions
with people if we watch what they do and see God revealing His Word to us
through them. Jeremiah watches the Potter. Why is he stopping the wheel? What is
he removing?
Why is he changing the shape? Information is becoming Inspiration.
O.K. Lord so you want to change Israel. But Lord I am the one you appointed.
So Lord start by changing me. Israel cant change if its leader does not change,
if its prophet wont change. So Lord here am I, put me on the wheel called
CHANGE. Notice when the change took place Jeremiah? Yes Lord it was when the
clay failed to conform to the potters hand. O.K. now I see
I am clay with a will that must be conformed to what YOU will have me be,
thanks Lord. Our failure is God's opportunity to reshape us. He
is Master Molder and Maker. When the clay is Marred by sin it needs the Master
to Mould and Make it over again. You will be Enriched when you discover that weakness
and failure are your best friends bringing you to HIM.
What inspires me to CHANGE?
Read what Jesus taught about Greatness in Matthew 18: 1-6.
In the measure you change you will be greatly used by God in His Kingdom.
Now Jeremiah go and watch a child, that is what I call Mr. Clay
malleable, resilient.
- Child-like in obeying instructions.
- Loving His Word and His Spirit.
- Available to receive instructions.
- Yielded to do His Will.
Children are like grown ups. They fight, argue,
disagree and erupt in the park only to become bigger buddies.
Notice how they get over it: Forget the feud and
rebuild the Friendship. No long years of unforgiveness, No life long enemies and
grudges. No fear, no racial prejudice. Innocence and joyful shrieks of laughter.
They bounce back and are ready to rebuild the castle that's broken down. Quick
to forgive they will live and let live.
Now doesn't that Inspire you to change. HE wont
throw the clay away. HE remolds and shapes your character.
What does Christ want to IMPART?
He will Gift you with Ability if you give Him your availability.
Clay can change when it is in The Potters hands.
Joh 14: 26 His Holy Spirit will teach you Holiness.
Eph 5: 26 His Word will clean out the mess.
Joh 8: 32 Truth sets you free.
Matt 18: 4 Truth:... unless you change and become like a Child you never enter.
Heb 3: 15 Don't harden your heart Mr. Clay, HE cant impart to a Hard Heart.
2Tim 4: 3 Don't have itching ears running after teachers.
In the New Testament Christ is the HEAD and We are His HANDS?
Eph 1: 10 Jesus Christ is the Head.
1 Co 12: 13 - 18 We meet with Him so that He can impart. We are set by Him to Please Him.
Eph 4: 15 we grow up into Him
Col 2: 10 our fullness is in Him.
Fellowship on His wheel has new meaning. He doesn't
just want us to change for the sake of change but so that He can impart
Spiritual gifts through us (Rom 1:11) as vessels of honor containing His glory (2
Cor 4: 6,7).
The invitation to change and perform the Application of all this is Simple:
Repent, be changed by the power of His Holy Spirit. Be CONVERTED.
Be converted from a religious style to a relationship style of worship.
Hear Truth, Know Truth, Live Truth, Enjoy Truth and Speak Truth.
Jesus is THE TRUTH.
Pray:
Change me O God, in Jesus name.
Make me, mould me, shape me again.
I want to be a child in your eyes.
Remove from me all worldly ties.
No Agenda but yours,
No hidden cause.
I invite YOU in.
Lord remove my sin.
Take Away the hardness of this heart of stone I pray.
Soften my heart, please mould the marred clay.
Come in today come in to stay.
Come into my heart Lord Jesus.
Come now
Lord Jesus
And have
Your Way.
Amen...
