Who is he? Is that blood running from his ear? Why did he
do that? Are you sure, did he really say it is a sign that he is devoted
to his Master for LIFE? Why his ear? What's the
DEAL?
- The Door post reminds us of the sacrificed Lamb
- The Ear must be - Inclined to hear a word - Inspired
- The Awl says the slave is ready - his rights to Forego
- The Liberty of living in his master's house for Eternity
Philippians 2:7-8 says that Jesus humbled himself, became a slave
and was marked on the Cross for his obedience. John 13:16
tells us no servant is greater than his Master and verses 4&5
tells us what Jesus did. It is interesting that all the Apostles introduce
themselves as slaves of Jesus Christ - Doulos.
When Jesus taught Discipleship He insisted that Family was secondary to the
Father's Will [Luke 14:26].
