MTN - Make Things New

Read verses as prescribed

As a boy growing up on a farm, I often had to patch a Tube, and then because we were lazy, we often would patch the patch. The result was a slow leak and a continous pumping of tyres with a hand-pump. Life can become a Slow leak and a continous Pumping if we don't heed the teaching of Jesus: Make Things NEW!

Mark 2:21 - 22, Putting a New Patch on the Old Garment

Revelations 21:5 - I am making everything NEW.
To live with the Old is Restrictive and Debilitating. You are limited. The New cellphone is better than the old one. New Technology not only allows you to speak to the person but to see them as well. To fix the Old Hi FI 33 and 78 speed system so you can play your LP's is a waste of time [Isaiah 43:18 - invites us to forget the old and start FRESH]. What God has planned for us is way beyond our wildest dreams, our greatest hopes, and our most extravagant expectations. Read Ephesians 3:20 and 1 Corinthians 2:9

He is the One who introduces us to:

The New Life -- Acts 5:20
The New Covenant -- Luke 22:20
The New Wine -- Mark 2:22
The New City -- Revelations 21:2
The New Heart -- Ezekiel 36:26
The New Name -- Revelations 3:12
The New Creation -- 2 Corinthians 5:17
The New Song -- Psalm 33:3

In Isaiah 43:19 He says: "See I am doing a NEW thing", making a way in the Desert and Springs in the wasteland. He calls us to forget the former things and not to dwell on the past. Isaiah 44:3 qualifies this event as being the Pouring out of the Holy Spirit.

God wants to pour out blessing on Thirsty people. Are you THIRSTY?
This is the NEW thing. Without the Holy Spirit we will battle with our old Baggage and keep fixing and patching up when God is calling us to a New Begiining. Every New Year people make New Year's resolutions. I'm gonna eat less, Gym more, spend less, and save more. But Human Nature does not have the commitment to keep up the resolution.

Romans 7:15 is the Paradox of your life: "What I want to do I do not do, but what I hate to do ...".

Conclusion:

Romans 7:18: "I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature". I cannot carry out the desire to do good for I don't do the GOOD that I want to do, but the evil. Read it to the end, and Paul says Thank you God, only you can rescue me.

How to have A NEW LIFE:

Fellowship with people that grow you.
Resist the devil and the Negative confessions.
Impart Life through your Speech. Prophesy a NEW DAY!
Enjoy your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Laugh More!
Never Quit! Endure Hardships.
Do the work of an Evangelist. Tell someone about Jesus.
Spend time praying in the Holy Spirit. Stop patching the Old Life.

May this be a beginning of NEW FRIENDships as you set on a NEW Course with Jesus as the Captain of your Ship.
