a single man, in a simple time, could offer life anew? How a sinless life,
a cruel death, then a glorious life again, could OFFER
more to a desperate world, than all the inventions of man?
If in your life, the voice of God is sometimes hard
to hear, with other voices calling, His doesn't touch your ear. Then set aside your
laptop and modem, and all your fancy gear, and open your
BIBLE, open your heart, and let your Father draw near.
The Power of Rationality:
Human beings are uniquely endowed with the power of rationality - the ability to reason,
analyse, organize, and build systems. This has given enormous knowledge to humanity at
least since the time of enlightment.
This knowledge explosion has given birth to science and technology. The names of
Newton, Galileo, and Einstein, are very well known
world-wide. There is a scientific and technological revolution that is
impossible for human beings themselves to comprehend. Humanity
has scaled the heights and fathomed the depths, and unravelled the mysteries of the
universe, and continues in a relentless pursuit of knowledge and understanding.

There is a radically new way of living and understanding - redefinition of time,
space, matter, and of course the mind.
So What Is The Issue?
Computers and supercomputers; conductors and superconductors, microchips, the World Wide
Web [www], cybernetics and such others DO NOT surprise us
anymore. We are living at a time when discovery of the Quark, Gluon, simulation of the Big
Bang, genetic engineering and, of course, cloning excite us. We live in a world
of Information Technology [IT] ...
and a 10th planet ...
[Note: - Technology is an enabler, think of your TV, cellphone
and car. It is how you apply technology that is the issue]
In this post-scientific scenario, we are deeply challenged and even threatened by
some discoveries and inventions. Discovery of the atom was one of the
greatest achievements of the twentieth century, but the explosion
of the first atom bomb in 1945 [Hiroshima and Nagasaki]
did not go well for the future. It demonstrated clearly and well, the dilemma, the ambiguity of
modern science and advanced technology.
Rationality Does Not Lead To Morality:
Hunger and poverty characterise the world of Asia,
Africa and Latin America. Who is using this modern science and advanced technology?
To what purpose? From this point of view such discoveries and inventions pose a real challenge
to our faith affirmations in terms of morality and ethics
of our common collective life. Do they enhance common human happiness and
welfare of all?

God is a high tech God. He knows what exists in every corner of the universe as well as
the places unseen by natural eyes such as cyberspace and nanospace. Whenever there is new
technology, we will be there to use it for GOD.

war, and my fingers to fight"
- Hebrews 4:12,13 - "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight"
From biggest to smallest, all objects known to man, God can be seen
in these objects. Discipline, order, knowledge, and mathematical correctness
are always present.
