God of Technology or god of Technology - Part 2 Read verses as prescribed [they appear as this teaching is written] The Industrial Age: There is physical work, and everything machine driven. There are assembly lines, little individual input, and we have set working hours. The technologies seen here are: Electricity The Telephone Motor Transport and common quotes nowadays are: 1. BBC, which stands for "Born Before Computers" 2. BAC, which stands for "Born After Computers". [1972] Modern technology brings evil instead of good? At least Jesus brings good instead of evil, comfort and not fear, encouragement and not discouragement, and peace, not anxiety The Technology Age Jesus is very relevant to the current issues on the news or in the papers. He is always using methods that we do not understand, but He is willing to give us "Ah-ha moments" where we "get it". Read Isaiah 45:3 - "I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I AM the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name". Medical Technology: Our Lord Jesus is a Comforter in times of trials and tribulations, and He never condemns us. He calls us His precious treasures. He has known us since before we were born and numbered all our hairs. He chose our parents on earth. He planned all our days ahead for us. He has our best interests in His mind and He has great agendas to prosper us and give us health. He is a guide who is better than "For Dummies" because He has been there before us. He knows the history of this world. The medical profession isn't close to Jesus' techniques for healing His people in an instant. [Prayer, Intercession and Faith]. If we have adverse situations, Jesus sees the big picture and helps us overcome. He has brought me Joy in sorrow and Peace in pain. He has brought the most unlikely people into my life to help me know Him better. Read Jeremiah 31:13 - "Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow." The modern dilemma, what do we do with "cloning" and "genetic engineering", also known as monster foods and "human gene mapping". Is this not maybe an "Ah-ha moment", to resolve the world food shortage, or stop sickness? This is where we need Jesus and the Holy Spirit to give us guidance and understanding. 5 Minutes: Let's pray for the people who use these technologies to apply them rather to good use, and for the good and glory of God, and use it in His name. From this point of view, such discoveries and inventions pose a real challenge to our faith affirmations in terms of morality and ethics of our common, collective life. Nano Technology: What is this? It is the smallest building block known to man at the moment - Molecules. Look at any study between things in the natural and those which are man-made. I am always blessed beyond what I could ask for or imagine. Where does one use this type of technology nowadays? In the medical industry, in computers - new "molecule" wires (Moor's Computer Law). There is a Department of Health blueprint.
